Our osteopaths use a broad range of osteopathic techniques, from the gentlest harmonic techniques to firmer manipulation and soft tissue techniques to suit the needs of the patient. Many of thepractitioners are specially trained to also use western acupuncture to complement the osteopathic treatment. All the osteopaths have undertaken at least five years full training at accredited institutions and are full members of the General Osteopathic Council, the regulating body for all osteopaths.

For the past 7 years Rachel has worked along side some outstanding Osteopaths at multi-disciplinary clinics across London, including The Osteopathic Practice (Robi Persad and Associates) in KentishTown, IBC Care (formerly Nottinghill Osteocare) in Harley Street and The Vale Practice in East Dulwich.

Osteopathy focuses on the musculoskeletal system and the way in which this inter-relates with the body as a whole. It combines scientific knowledge of anatomy and phsyiology, as well as clinicalmethods of investigation. Osteopaths diagnose and treat faults which occur because of injury, stress, or disease. By enabling the musculoskeletal system to work as efficiently as possible, the body is encouraged to restore itself.

All consultations are at Paul's dedicated practice room in the basement of 39 Dulwich Road, which is close to Brockwell Lido. It is well served by trains at Herne Hill Station as well as being 10minutes' walk from Brixton Underground Station. Buses 3, 37, and 196 all stop on Dulwich Road. There is on-street parking available which is metered between 8:30am and 5:30pm.

We focus our attention on the musculoskeletal system which reflects and influences all the other body systems. We do this by careful evaluation of these important structures as we know that if thestructure is not right then its ability to function will be impaired. We identify these structural issues and support the body's tendency towards health and self-healing. Above all we listen to you and your health concerns.

A friend recommended that I see the lead osteopath at the clinic, Tony Carew, after he had had success with a shoulder problem. I am so happy with the treatment so far and from practically no movementat all I can now walk without crutches. I have much more movement and less pain after just three treatments. Besides answering all my questions thoroughly he always give me a full explanation of what he is doing and what his expectation is of improvements.

PPT manipulation is probably the most advanced form of manipulation available today. PPT stands for Passive Patient Technique and the reason that it has been given this name is because throughout theprocedures the patient relaxes on their front or back in the absence of any strained, stretched or awkward positions.
