About the Business

Richard & Susan Allen qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 1977, and worked in Birmingham for two years before setting up their practice in Shrewsbury in 1979, the oldest established practice in Shropshire.

In their time at college (1973 - 1977) "cranial" Osteopathy did not form part of the undergraduate syllabus, but exposure to the approach in the teaching clinic and seeing the results achieved with seemingly such gentle techniques sparked a lifetime of interest in this approach. Immediately after qualifying they began to attend post graduate courses and study groups to further their understanding of the principles and techniques involved. This approach to Osteopathy has been an overriding passion for both the Allen's for over 35 years and they continue to undertake ongoing study to develop their understanding.
