Since then I have moved back to Yorkshire to practice osteopathy and private healthcare in the Selby and Leeds area in my own clinics as well as for other large practices.

I soon realised that the holistic treatment of the whole body not only speeded upmy recovery from injury, but more importantly prevented further injuries. The success of the treatment, and speed of my recovery, initiated my interest in this profession.

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal problems. Osteopaths recognise the link between the structure of the human body, and the way it functions. By examining the wholeperson, not just the injured area, they try to understand the chain of events that has caused a breakdown in function. In other words, why have you developed pain now? Musculoskeletal structures can only cope with strain for so long, before they begin to fail and cause pain.
The practice has been built on the principles of offering a quality and friendly service, which can be accessed quickly in order to reduce the symptoms from which you are suffering safely andeffectively. I qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 2005 and worked in well-established clinics across the south of England before moving to Yorkshire in 2014. I decided to become an Osteopath afterreceiving Osteopathic treatment myself. I sustained a low back injury whilst dancing as a teenager, and then later I turned to Osteopathy again to aid recovery from a head and neck injury following a mountain bike crash. On both occasions I made a full and speedy recovery.

Welcome to the website for my osteopathy practice 'Just Osteopathy' located in north Halifax. In July 2014 I took the leap and moved my practice to my home in Holmfield, north Halifax.
After 5 years working in the travel industry I felt my calling lay elsewhere and set upon a path to a career change. Various family members had experienced positive results through Osteopathy andinitially got me interested in the profession. I am fascinated by the holistic approach that osteopathy takes and how treatment is very much patient-centred. The origins of Osteopathy focus on this holistic nature and I feel the original teachings were very much ahead of their time.
Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear andscreamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
